I am a freelance science and technology writer based in London. I’ve written about the hunt for kill chips in microprocessors, electrical stimulation to make you smarter, and the people trying to keep themselves young with young blood injections. My reporting has taken me from military bases in the Texas desert to the Estonian cloud.

My first book, We Are Electric, is about the electrome: the bioelectric signals and states that define our every experience of being a living creature. It’s out now, published in the UK by Canongate and in the US by Hachette.
